A victory over Mater Dei helps justify a high ranking for this Southern Cal power.
11 Torrey Pines (San Diego, Calif.) 10-1-0 NR
Torrey Pines made a statement by beating Granite Hills, 5-0, for the Lady Vaqueroa
Division I tournament title. Last year, Granite Hills upset Torrey Pines in the
playoffs.
12 La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, Calif.) 5-0-1 8
LCC won the Barons-Mustangs tournament and reached the semifinals of the Lady
Vaquero tournament.
13 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) 11-2-3 14
Mater Dei atoned for one of its regular season losses by beating Northwood right
before Christmas.
14 Nease (St. Augustine, Fla.) 15-2-2 15
Both of Nease's losses are to Satellite, so this team's ranking will be largely
dependent upon Satellite's showing this year.

American Heritage is rated No. 3 among the south Florida powers - behind Aquinas

quarterfinals. In the second round, the team beat Monte Vista.

SRV's stay in the Top 5 was short-lived with a first-round loss at Excalibur.
SRV settled on the consolation title, going 4-1 in the event.

Carondelet pushed SRV to PKs before falling in the Tri-Valley Classic title match.

After losing to Nease in the Michelle Akers Classic, Edgewater rallied to capture
the consolation title.
